Mary Froment, LMSW
Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern
she/her/hers
I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree, Clinical Concentration, in 2021 after several years working with children and families in community-based agencies. I have also raised two sons, which has helped me become keenly aware of the mental, emotional, and attachment needs of children.
My approach is trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and grounded in attachment theory. I use humanistic, narrative, solution-focused, nature, and integrative therapies, as well as family counseling and mindfulness. I also have experience working with individuals in the LGBTQPIA+ community.
Children entering my therapy room are empowered to move at their own pace–through non-directive play therapy–to create comfort, safety, and trust. I help them develop self-awareness, self-compassion, and coping skills through understanding the mind-body connection. We will also explore sensory experiences to calm and nourish the mind.
Adolescents entering my therapy room are seen and heard without judgment. We will talk, play, move, and write to process the complexities of life, family, and growing up.
I am dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and their caregivers learn communication and mutual understanding to nurture safe, healthy attachments that will form the foundation for all relationships.
