Miranda Johnson, LCSW
My passion is working with individuals to improve well being and plant seeds of self-love, healing and acceptance. My goal is to walk with you on this journey to feeling more whole, enlightened, self-loving and self accepting. My therapeutic approach is anchored in my desire and ability to be there not only for you but with you, while assisting in your growth through body, mind and spirit.
In session, I bring a trauma-informed perspective with advanced understanding of how events and feelings are connected to our body, brain, and the world around us. I believe it is important to have a deep sense of empathy and compassion for each client's unique journey in life and will help each person use their strengths and resources to meet their goals.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with extensive experience in working with individuals who struggle with trauma, attachment issues, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and sexual abuse. I specialize in working with women's issues, low self-esteem and burn out. I am EMDR trained (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help individuals alleviate symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, trauma. I am passionate about helping people identify issues that are important to them and utilize a strengths perspective and person-in-environment perspective with all of my clients. I believe that all human beings have strengths and are all impacted by the systems and environment they interact with on a daily basis.
